I recommend Thao Dien, District 2. This area is now very developing and safer than the other place in Saigon. Traffic is not so busy. And the main thing is there are many Apartment for rent Building there

In Ho Chi Minh City:

Rent prices for apartments located in central districts like 3, 1, and 5 tend to be higher, ranging around 500–600 US dollars.

For apartments in suburban areas as district: Thu Duc, Go Vap, and 9, the rental cost is typically around 300–400 US dollars.

District 7 is favored by many expats due to its proximity to downtown District 1, but I'm unsure of the specific rental prices in that area.

I hope this information proves helpful to you.

The best place to live really depends on what you’re looking for, as well as how much you’re willing to spend.

You can find the best selection of high-end, Western-style apartments in District 2, particularly Thao Dien and An Phu (as some of the other people mentioned). This area is quiet, well developed and offers a huge amount of choice, with lots of apartment buildings for you to select from. Expect to pay around $500 to $1,000+ for a one or two bedroom in Thao Dien, although you may be able to find something for less than this.

There are also a few other good areas for apartments. Binh Thanh District is a heavily built up part of town that has huge apartment developments, such as Vinhomes Central Park and Saigon Pearl. There are also lots of apartments in District 1 and 4, although these tend to be on the smaller side and the areas are quiet busy and noisy.

Finally, if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and highly developed, it’s worth considering District 7, particularly Phu My Hung. The apartments here are large, high quality and usually have great facilities, with pricing a little lower than in District 2.

There are many many apt for rent in HCMC, and the rentals range from US$ 500 to $2,000 depending on the quality of the building, its location, its amenities (gym, swimming pool, parking, garden…). But as anywhere else, you have to focus on the first priority: location, the second criterion: location, and the third element: location. If you stay in a perfect work of architecture, surrounded by large green space, situated near a main thoroughfare, with an affordable rental… but you have to spend 2 hours everyday to travel through the most congested areas full of toxic fumes to get to your work or your favorite places - then the apartment would not be worth your consideration.

To properly evaluate an apartment location, there is no better way than coming to the spot to see it by yourself, rather than calculating distances on Google maps, which is far from giving you accurate information about traffic conditions of your favorite itineraries.

There is another factor: the security. Phu My Hung residential complex has been considered so far the safest place for both locals and foreigners. You can pay an extra but you can leave your apt unattended for some months without any fear of burglary, which is quite rampant in HCMC. Other condos developed by well-known foreign real-estate enterprises are also worth your attention.

Consider renting an apartment for your accommodation needs.

If you're coming for work, it's advisable to find a place near your workplace. This facilitates an easier commute and reduces the expenses of relying on taxis every day.

To find suitable apartments, you can utilize real estate websites on Google or reach out to locals for assistance. They can help you navigate the process and integrate into the local community.

On the other hand, if you're visiting primarily for travel and exploration, staying in hotels may be a more suitable option. Hotels provide the flexibility to change locations easily, allowing you to explore different regions at your convenience.

It depends on whether you want to rent or buy apartments. Because as I see agencies in Vietnam are specialized in one field only: leasing or transferring, so it is important to know before suggesting.

But if you want to rent apartments, I would highly recommend Hoozing because their website is quite property-detailed and the images are clear enough. I rented my current apartment thanks for them. The visiting period was quite quick and simple because I’ve reviewed the flat via their website initially, just need to recheck if the properties are just like in the picture.
