“some Vietnamese”???

Who?

Maybe you misunderstood what they meant:

They can say that everyone in Vietnamese history is historical characters of Vietnam . But they can’t say everyone in Vietnamese history is Kinh .

Ya Dố /jaːzoː/ is an historical characters of Vietnam , but she was not a Kinh , she was a Bahnar .

That is because of many Vietnamese nationalists who ignore the history of Vietnam that it was a province of China for more than 1000 years.

Vietnamese nationalists also ignored the many waves of Han Chinese migration to Vietnam when it was a province and even after.

Vietnamese nationalists ignored the other 53 ethnic groups in Vietnam and also ignored the research done by other researchers such as John Phan, Keith Taylor and Liam Kelly. This is the real native of Vietnam - the Tay people

Vietnamese nationalists ignore the fact that being the majority in a country doesn’t mean you are the natives there.

For example, the ethnic majority of USA, Canada, Australia are white people , they are not the natives. There are many other examples around the world.

“some Vietnamese”

Who???? My entirely life I lived in Vietnam and talk about history with many Vietnamese and this is the first time I heard this. In fact, they never even consider it, because it doesn’t matter. When you mean “some” I think you mean a some rare individuals’ thoughts.

Or maybe, there are no “some Vietnamese.”

Answer : The same as NOT ONLY some but too many Chinese also present to us, that anything originated from the land of today China must be Chinese stuff , while I haven’t meet with these some Vietnamese yet, but by the same token, these some Vietnamese commit the same categorical mistake as the Chinese do, I mean if they really exist outside of the mouth of either the OP or the “expert” such as Dustin Nguyen.

-END- answering it.

here’s an off topic FYI: The Chinese propagandists always argue that, such and such ancient Vietnamese figure must be a Chinese because of his/her ancestry. But ethnicity is a construct, and thus, one can convert from one ethnicity into another, or to invent a new one, in the case of viet identity, it is a region-centric recognition, thus it would be very easy for the migrants to convert into the viet identity, Trieu Da already attempted to complete this “application” , just read your Chinese history????, if you have a trouble to interpret the classic Chinese text, ask the Vietnamese historians(real ones)for help. However, the Chinese insist to believe in something called “Chinese blood” , and point it out that, this type of “blood” is residing in the fresh of Vietnamese people, therefore comes up with the question in here, “what’s the proof that they are not Chinese ?!” (hence, what’s the proof they are viet instead of Han?????)

The error comes with your categorical mistake, the researchers label a set of chromosomes with the word “Chinese” to associate its regional origin, they can label it with other words as well, but you mistaken it as a proper naming .

I am labeling this thing with the word “duck”(and thus not a proper naming):

Chinese question “what’s your proof that is it not a duck?”

Everyone in the history of Vietnam? Is it serious?

Vietnam is a multi-ethnic nation comprising five major language families: Austro-Asiatic, Austronesian, Hmong-Mien, Tai-Kadai, and Sino-Tibetan. Although the Viet (Kinh) Vietnamese and the Muong Vietnamese are the closest ethnolinguistic groups, belong to Viet-Muong language subfamily, they do not represent “everyone” in the history of Vietnam. Even Viet Vietnamese is not a homogeneous group.

The statement is false at the very first premise. The questioner better ask “some Vietnamese” who claim that to provide their proof.
