Sorry to bring this up but I can't find anything on it. Is it safe to eat salads from street vendors? Veges in Vietnamese rolls etc.... Pho? I’ve got small kids that will give anything a try so they are my concern. They love the rolls, soups etc....I usually look to see where the locals are eating and eat there but sometimes I feel they are used to local foods and have cast iron guts.

I ate a lot salads from vendors on the street, but i never got stomache. It's very safe. But you need to watch how they make it. I often choose street vendors that are away from noisy streets to avoid eating salads full of dust. I prefer food stores that have many guests, expecially Vietnamese guests. They know which one is safe and clean. Also, before going anywhere to eat, google to check first to see any helpful recommendations.

Salad in Vietnam are safe to eat, but on street have to watch out. There is short street next to water puppet theater, in every after noon they serve pretty good salads, eat there i think would be fine. My experience is let taking any restaurants are always crowded customers that is reliable...have fun mate

If your kids like soups, then they're in for a treat - the Vietnamese are the ultimate soup chefs, in my opinion, and very fresh. What would bun cha or pho be like without the greens? Just be careful where you buy your food and drink - works for me.

I lived in Hanoi for a few yeas and eat salad vegetables and/or herbs in one raw form or other every day. I have never suffered an upset stomach or food poisoning from that or anything else I've eaten in Vietnam. However it's possible that I've been lucky, so you must decide for yourself what or what not to eat
