I understand that UBER is now available in VN, HCMC. Has anyone used it? Has anyone used it to/from the airport? Would like some feedback on cost / ease / compared to standard taxis. Help me pls !
My experience is Uber cheaper than taxi Mai Linh and Vina Sun this time cause they have many promotion program, but they have not much cars at this moment in Ho Chi Minh City so the waiting time quite long. I wait 30m for Uber when the taxi is only 3 second.
Use official taxt is the best choice for save and safe
We used Uber this week and had no problem. You will save about 30% from taxis. The only problem we had is that sometimes it takes time to get Uber where taxis are everywhere in the city. Beware though. The only taxis we found to be absolutely always reputable were Vinasun and Mailin. We had great luck with both.
Taxi is not pro in VN to start with. I'm not sure if you really want to use Uber in Saigon. There are a lot of fake taxis around the tourist areas especially Ben Thanh market. So it's best to avoid Uber at all cost even if it's cheaper. Enjoy HCMC!
