I read an article proclaiming the Ha Noi Night Market on Hang Dao St. is one of the top 10 places to see in Ha Noi. I don’t recall visiting this market during the evening when one can supposedly find some pretty decent street food. Does it run seven days a week or only on weekends? Some sources say every night and others say Friday-Sunday. Is this the place to go for street food on a weekday evening or where else? Thanks in advance of any replies.

Hang Dao Street is a food street only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, you do not have to wait for weekends to taste the iconic foods of Vietnam, since they are available in every nook and cranny of Hanoi Old Quarter. If you are not sure of what to try, you could book a customized food tour.
Hope this has helped you!

The night market runs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7pm to 11pm.
There are Vietnamese street food, but not much... The stuff sold there are not as junky as some described them to be. A little touristy... But Dong Xuan Market is too cramped and messy for me.

Hang Dao street night market starts from 18h – 23h at Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The street is about 3km, starting from Hang Dao Street to Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc and ends at the Dong Xuan’s gate market. In every Saturday evening, they hold cultural performances of folk art. In addition to the night market in Hang Dao Street, there is a night market newly formed , this is the food night Hang Buom market.
