The Vinpearl Resort and Spa situated on Hon Tre island, famous for its crystal white beaches and surrounding mountain valleys, sloping like birds’ wings. Famed for its gorgeous beaches & turquoise waters, the area around Nha Trang is a popular destination for divers from all over the world.
image Quick view Nha Trang’s fascinating beaches stimulate any one stepping by. It is a collection of 6 major beaches and some small scatterred beaches. Located in the North are 4 beaches named Dai Lanh, Doc Let, Whale Island, and Jungle Beaches, and in the South are Tran Phu and Hong Chong Beaches. They are all within a few hours drive. All of these locations have modern accommodations and adequate lodging for an overnight stay. What makes beaches in Nha Trang famous among many others alongside Vietnam – an over 3,000 kilometered seaside road country? The common absorptive characteristic is the fine & fair sand, the mirror-like pure & clean ocean water, and the deeply mild temperature all the year round. Zoom Amongst the 6 major Beaches, Tran Phu Beach, south Nha Trang located, is most attractive to tourists. It consists of various small beaches inside. The Beach is one of the greatest communities of small beaches in Nha Trang, which results in its popularity. Its name is derived from the name of the street – Tran Phu Street – running alongside the beach. “A beautiful avenue adorned with a lush green centre, colorful flowers and pretty street lamps, harmonized with the fresh blue color of the sea. Oh a graceful picture!”, a foreign tourist remarked. Coming here, tourists can easily find good-quality hotels, eateries and bars along the street. Being the most frequented one the Tran Phu Beach is also the most crowed of all the Nha Trang beaches. Ranking second and third to Tran Phu is Hong Chong and Dai Lanh Beaches. Dai Lanh Beach is frequently visited by local Vietnamese on their holidays. It is around 83 kilometers north of Nha Trang. These two Beaches are gorgeous areas with turquoise water, soft cream color sand and lots of peace and quiet. The next one to be mentioned is Doc Let Beach, located just 30 km north of Nha Trang, on Highway 1 in Ninh Hoa village, Khanh Hoa Province. This is a long and wide chalk-like sand with shallow water, which makes swimming easier. The last but not least one that must be mentioned is Whale Island Beach Resort is also a great treasure. Though being a tiny island surrounded by 4 larger islands just off the coast of Nha Trang in Van Phong Bay, it is really a tiny pearl. What is makes this island unique is that it is a lovely and secluded French-run beach retreat. The island name derived from the habit of whales and sharks swimming into the small crescent shape lagoon in April and July to eat krill and plankton. image

Vinpearl park is hilarious. First off the dolphin show. They had a go at putting on an entertaining show but feel the dolphin trainers and management could probably do with a trip to the Gold Coast to see how it's done at Sea world. There are numerous rides and eateries. The beer is cold and cheap. The whole park is very clean. Staff are helpful. Beachfront area where you can parasail. Watch out for those Russians, they'll bowl you over if you stop.

We spent half a day at Vinpearl, it was really good value for money. there was an aquarium, water park, carnival rides and indoor games. Definitely worth the trip!

The island is reached by ferry or cable car, about £20 each, less for kids. This gives you entry to the amusements and water park and return trip. Some of the park not open yet but didn't detract from a good day. The alpine run is great fun but there are some slow people which spoils it a bit, be prepared to release the break and whizz down! The waterpark is no wet and wild from Florida but still great fun and it's included in entry price. Be warned that the stairs are open metal and do hurt your feet so if you have water shoes wear them. The food choices were really good and prices were reasonable, considering they have you as a captive audience, we bought lunch and drinks and it was about £10. The dolphin and otter show was fun, there is also a water dance light show twice a night, worth a look. The underwater aquarium is also good. There is also a beach and water sports available for extra charge. All in all a good day and good value for money. They are still improving the place so there is building work but doesn't affect your day

Fantastic way to revisit our youth days! Awesome, will be outstanding once everything is open. Pricing not too expensive either.

All in all, Nha Trang wasn't really my thing. I felt like every attraction was lacking culture, and the town was a very bland beach city, attempting to please the crowds of tourists but leaving much to be desired.
I was bored in Nha Trang, and my husband wanted to head to Vinpearl. Vinpearl is not somewhere I saw myself on a holiday to Vietnam but out of boredom and to please my hubby who's a child at heart, over we went.
The cable car is the largest in the world I believe, so that was a good experience itself, but nothing to write home about.
Upon arrival to the theme park, it is quite dated and like Nha Trang itself, it's massive and over catered to a mass of tourists with really not that many people about. There's a lot closed or under construction so it looks to improve a lot in the coming years! We went early, looked around, skipped the rides and headed straight to the water park. A few water slides sure should get us laughing so that we did. And we had a heap of fun!! Laughs and giggles and some good adrenalin.
There is an incredible view of Nha Trang from the restaurants that line the way to the waterpark as well as from the beach which is to the side of the waterpark. We weren't there for long, had a look around, mucked around on the waterslides for a little while, had some refreshments and enjoyed the view and were back in town by lunchtime.
If it's not your thing or you have a tight itinerary don't feel the need to squeeze it in.
If you've got children, hands down an absolute winner for the whole family!
If you've got spare time, and aren't really sure, you can make some fun of it.
