2.Snacks

There are lots of Vietnames snacks on Chinese online shopping websites such as 淘宝网 , 京东(JD.COM)-正品低价、品质保障、配送及时、轻松购物! etc

I think Tipo (or Lipo) cream egg cookies are most popular Vietnamese snack in China.I can find them in every shopping mall in Beijing.

I prefer Tipo:

I live in California and as far as I know, I saw “Made in Vietnam” products at 4 places:

The furniture shop IKEA has pottery and bamboo things.

NIKE sport shoes.

The HMO KAISER hospitals have some clothing for patients.

The Supermarkets/Grocery stores have many foods (fresh & frozen).

My thinking is mixed: Happy because the Vietnamese is having jobs and Sad because most of these jobs are controlled by factories owned by foreign countries (mainly China).

It is really easy to find clothing and pottery that have been made in Vietnam. It is really hard to find nuoc mam from Vietnam, but a Viet Kieu friend explained that Vietnamese nuco mam is relabeled as Thai. I know that Ikea has a factory in Vietnam, so there may be Vietnamese products in the Ikea store, but I haven’t been there in a couple of years.

Good products! Much better prices for the clothing in the US than for the same items in Hanoi. Much better prices for the nuoc mam in VN than in the US!

2. textiles. Silk and yarn, for example.

3., some rubber products, mainly raw materials.

I like the big mango from Vietnam. It's delicious and it has lots of flesh.

A for fun answer but somehow related to the question:

Nhơn Hòa scale, a Vietnamese-made product, was so reliable that even ISIS terrorists used them in their bomb making factories:

image

The image was screenshotted from this video (1:30). There, you can see clearly the Vietnamese high quality goods logo.

In their website, Nhơn Hòa claim that they export their products to all over the world, including Middle Eastern countries, so it is not very strange for one or two of their scales exist there.

There are:

Truong Hai Auto products

Hoa Phat steel

Hoang Anh Gia Lai algri products

Trung Nguyen coffee

Vinamilk dairy

Biti’s shoes

An Phuoc clothes

BKAV antivirus and phones

Dien May Xanh shops

The gioi di dong shops

I think basically there are a lot of products produced in Vietnam. But few of them are of high tech and innovations. Now remember I just say few and not none.

The reason is that there is not an ecosystem to support making those world-class products. Even rich countries like Saudi Arabi find it hard to nurture cutting-edge technology and innovations. So I’m not surprised that Vietnam has failed to produced any breakthrough products. But as long as you are making something rather than nukes, there should be someone out there willing to trade with you.
